I’ve been doing some tweaking and twiddling around the site. Mostly it’s been about cleaning up the about page and changing sidebar settings so that they are more contextually relevant. If you haven’t noticed, then I probably haven’t made too big a mistake. If you have, ping me.

For those of you that have been receiving RSS updates because of spam comments, my apologies. I’ve deleted and marked as spam and banned and I’ve just flipped comment moderation on. I’m hopeful that’ll put a stop to this nonsense.

• Other parts of the country have reasonable housing prices

Jun 27, 05:14 pm: Sharing some good news

Some of you know that my partner was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. She’s going through a round of chemotherapy and the plan is to follow it up with surgery and radiation. It’s been a tough few months in our house—the chemo is exhausting in many different ways. After a bought of bad news—every news opportunity brought bad news. We’re damned happy to get some good news. Actually, it’s not just good news. It’s great news. In short, the chemo is working.
