May 9, 02:40 pm: Needed: A designer with good textpattern knowledge

I’m looking for more than just another template for the blog here. If you are a designer that can do some lightweight logo work and give this blog a thorough face lift, integrating some of the Textpattern goodness that will allow me to tweak forms and settings in the future, I want to hear from you. Send me an email.

Mar 8, 04:51 pm: Some housekeeping

I’ve been doing some tweaking and twiddling around the site. Mostly it’s been about cleaning up the about page and changing sidebar settings so that they are more contextually relevant. If you haven’t noticed, then I probably haven’t made too big a mistake. If you have, ping me.

Jan 8, 03:43 pm: Hit by a few spam comments

For those of you that have been receiving RSS updates because of spam comments, my apologies. I’ve deleted and marked as spam and banned and I’ve just flipped comment moderation on. I’m hopeful that’ll put a stop to this nonsense.

  • Other parts of the country have reasonable housing prices
  • It doesn’t rain every day in Portland, OR
  • I miss my friends and am always glad to see them
  • I really can live for a week without every setting fingers to keyboard

Sep 19, 06:34 am: So I just want to apologize in advance

on the off chance that you get, oh, say, 1,640 bookmarks from me. I in the old RSS feed. I’m playing with ma.gnolia.

Aug 29, 04:36 pm: Adding my del.icio.us feed to this URL

I’ve finally gotten around to using feedburner’s link splicing feature to add my del.icio.us feed to this one. If you’re subscribed to the main ext337 feed.

update: if you’re subscribed to the old feed—the pre-feedburner version—you won’t see this change. You can, though, update to: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Ext337.

Jun 27, 05:14 pm: Sharing some good news

Some of you know that my partner was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. She’s going through a round of chemotherapy and the plan is to follow it up with surgery and radiation. It’s been a tough few months in our house—the chemo is exhausting in many different ways. After a bought of bad news—every news opportunity brought bad news. We’re damned happy to get some good news. Actually, it’s not just good news. It’s great news. In short, the chemo is working.

A great ask from Dave the Lifekludger: scroll bar for the comments section. Working on figuring that out. If anyone has hints or instructions, feel free to leave ‘em for me.
