Beth Kanter asks Are Mistakes a Bad Thing?.

I’d say they are a good thing. But that’s tough.

It’s something we’ve been wrestling with at CompuMentor. No one thinks, if you’re learning to ice skate, that falling down on the first few tries is a bad thing. In fact, it’s the act of falling that teaches what to do not to fall.

So why don’t we apply that work? Why don’t we think mistakes are a part of of excellence? Something to navigate by rather than failure points.
